Short Story
Urban Tray Co. is a Delhi-based manufacturer of premium serving trays, selling wholesale to retailers across the city. Founded in January 2026, it’s already profitable — roughly ₹3 lakh in monthly revenue at ~30% margins — but demand is outrunning a 60-trays-a-day workshop. The raise funds machinery to scale production nearly 8x and expand from Delhi to pan-India, then into a full premium home-décor line.

Campaign Story
Urban Tray Co. makes premium serving trays — and unlike most early-stage brands, it’s already a working business with real customers and real margins. Founded by Anshpreet Singh in January 2026, the company manufactures in-house and distributes wholesale (B2B) to retailers across Delhi, with a salaried production team running the floor.
The numbers are healthy and honest. The business is doing roughly ₹3 lakh in monthly revenue at around 30% gross margins, producing about 60 trays per day. Each tray carries an MRP of ~₹2,600 and sells wholesale at ₹1,150–₹1,250 depending on order volume — a clean spread that leaves room for both the retailer and the brand. This isn’t pre-revenue hope; it’s a profitable operation that has proven its product sells.
The problem is a good one to have: demand is outpacing capacity. Urban Tray Co. has identified clear pull from larger markets — Mumbai and other major Indian cities — but its current workshop physically can’t make enough trays to serve them. The 60-per-day ceiling is the single thing capping growth.
The raise solves exactly that. Funds go primarily into machinery to lift production from ~60 trays/day to ~500 trays/day — an almost 8x capacity jump — alongside inventory, working capital, and distribution expansion. With that capacity unlocked, the roadmap is sequential and grounded: establish a pan-India wholesale presence, then expand into export markets, and broaden the catalog from trays into a wider premium home-décor range. It’s a capacity-constrained, margin-positive manufacturer asking for the one thing that turns a proven Delhi business into a national brand — more machines.
For a backer community, the appeal is tangible: a real product you can hold, healthy unit economics, a founder who already knows how to sell and run a production line, and a category (premium home décor) with strong repeat-purchase and gifting demand.
