Campaign Story

StepUp was created with a simple mission: make every step count. The app converts daily walking steps into redeemable vouchers for food, shopping, and fitness products. Users loved the idea—“walk to earn” gave fitness a fun, rewarding twist. Within its first few months, StepUp reached 12,000 active users in Delhi NCR, mostly students and office-goers looking for motivation to stay active.

But the startup is in crisis. With no fresh capital, the founder is personally funding server costs and reward partnerships. Several partner brands have paused collaborations due to delays in payments, and users are already noticing fewer rewards in-app. The team, once six members strong, is now down to two people struggling to keep StepUp alive.

The irony is that the concept works: people want rewards for healthy habits. Reviews show users feel more motivated to walk when tangible rewards are attached. But without funds, StepUp cannot expand partnerships, maintain app infrastructure, or roll out the loyalty model to more cities.

Right now, StepUp is at a do-or-die stage. With the right support, the startup could rapidly scale, as India’s urban fitness and reward economy is booming. Without it, StepUp will become yet another good idea that never survived past its early traction.
