Campaign Story

SkyLite Mobiles started with a simple observation: most budget phones in India are heavy, bulky, and outdated. While premium brands chase innovation, affordable users are stuck with devices that feel old-fashioned. SkyLite set out to change that by designing sleek, lightweight Android smartphones priced under ₹5,000 that look and feel premium but remain affordable for mass users.

The phones feature 6-inch HD displays, fingerprint sensors, and dual SIM slots—features rarely available at this price. Early batches sold through local distributors in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with 1,800 devices sold in just two months. Customers consistently praised the slim design, lightweight build, and easy usability for everyday tasks like WhatsApp, YouTube, and online payments.

But today, SkyLite is in serious trouble. Cash flow has dried up, vendors are refusing credit, and manufacturing has halted due to unpaid dues. The founders, operating with just two laptops in a rented flat, are fighting to keep their dream alive. Competitors are already pushing cheaper Chinese imports into the same market, and without funding, SkyLite risks vanishing despite having proof of demand.

Yet, the timing is right—India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 smartphone adoption is accelerating, with millions of first-time users entering the digital economy. SkyLite could become the stylish, affordable Indian alternative if given the capital to scale.
