🤖 The Problem

Industrial automation is still out of reach for small and medium businesses across Asia. High-cost robotic arms, expensive software licenses, and complex integrations make automation a luxury reserved for large factories. This leaves millions of workshops and labs dependent on manual processes that are inefficient, inconsistent, and slow.

💡 The Solution – MOLITAV

MOLITAV bridges this gap with a new generation of smart, modular robotic systems that are compact, affordable, and AI-trainable. The startup’s modular arm—nicknamed “TAV-One”—can be programmed through simple drag-and-drop commands or even voice-based instructions powered by onboard AI.

Each robotic unit is plug-and-play, designed for quick setup in labs, maker spaces, small manufacturing units, and educational institutions. MOLITAV’s AI models enable self-learning—after observing repetitive human tasks, the arm can mimic motion patterns and optimize speed and accuracy.

• Power: Standard AC or battery-backed for mobility.

MOLITAV’s ecosystem includes “Molitav Studio”, a lightweight PC/mobile app for training, diagnostics, and monitoring performance metrics.

👩‍💻 Team

Founded by a trio of mechanical and AI engineers from IIT Bombay and VIT Pune, MOLITAV combines hardware design expertise with AI model optimization. The team previously worked in industrial automation firms before bootstrapping MOLITAV in 2023 to democratize robotics for smaller creators.

🚀 Impact and Vision

The startup’s vision is to make robotic precision accessible for everyone — from educational robotics programs to SME assembly lines. With small-batch prototypes already in use at Pune’s Innovation Lab and two fabrication workshops, MOLITAV plans to scale across India and Southeast Asia by offering subscription-based automation kits.

If funded, MOLITAV could become Asia’s first mass-deployable modular robotics platform, empowering local manufacturing and reducing dependency on imports.
