Campaign Story
MicroWave Mobile was founded to solve a problem ignored by mainstream brands: durability in real Indian conditions. Farmers, construction workers, delivery agents, and travelers often face dust, heat, rain, and accidental drops that quickly destroy regular phones. MicroWave Mobile designed rugged Android smartphones under ₹7,000 with dust-proof, water-resistant, and shock-absorbing casings to withstand India’s toughest environments.
The phones also feature long-lasting 7,000 mAh batteries, dual-SIM support for rural areas, and regional language keyboards to serve first-time users. In pilot launches across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, the startup sold 1,500 devices in three months, with glowing reviews from workers who said it finally solved their daily struggles.
But the company is now on the edge of shutting down. Rising component costs, lack of bulk funding, and almost no marketing budget have crippled growth. Distributors are hesitant without proof of scale, and the founders have been using personal loans just to keep shipments alive. Without immediate capital, MicroWave risks losing its early traction and ceding the rugged-phone market entirely to foreign imports.
India desperately needs homegrown, affordable rugged smartphones, and MicroWave Mobile has the blueprint. With the right funding, it can scale production, target government and corporate contracts (railways, logistics, agriculture), and capture a unique market segment left untouched by big brands.
