Campaign Story
Gravton Motors was founded in 2016 with a vision to make clean, efficient mobility accessible to everyone. While most EV manufacturers focus on premium scooters or imports, Gravton targets mass affordability and durability for Indian roads.
Their flagship model, the Gravton Quanta, features a removable lithium battery, 160 km range per charge, and a rugged frame designed for both city commuting and rough rural terrain. The Quanta’s battery can be charged in 90 minutes and even swapped on the go—a major advantage in India’s low-infrastructure regions.
Gravton built nearly all components in-house, emphasizing indigenous design and sustainability. Their small factory outside Hyderabad can produce 5,000 bikes annually, but demand is already exceeding that capacity. The startup now faces the challenge of scaling manufacturing, streamlining supply chains, and establishing charging infrastructure partnerships.
Despite positive press coverage and government EV incentives, funding constraints have slowed operations. With India’s EV market expected to hit $15 billion by 2030, Gravton Motors represents a real Indian alternative to imported EVs—ready to scale with the right backing.
