BrightPath Solar, founded in 2022 in Makassar, Indonesia, is dedicated to solving the energy access gap in remote island communities where diesel generators are costly and unreliable. Their solution is to deploy solar-powered microgrids that can sustainably power 20–30 households at once.

Each microgrid includes modular solar arrays, battery storage, and a prepaid smart-metering system so families can top-up credits affordably. In its first pilot on Selayar Island, BrightPath delivered reliable electricity to 25 households, reducing diesel use by 70% and cutting energy costs by 40%.

However, BrightPath faces desperate funding challenges. The team needs working capital to expand to nearby islands and cover upfront installation costs. Without early support, scaling is nearly impossible, despite proven impact.
