Campaign Story
AstroLink Dynamics was founded with a bold dream: bring affordable satellite internet to India’s rural and remote communities. While big players like Starlink and OneWeb focus on global markets, millions of Indian villages still lack reliable access to online education, telemedicine, and digital banking. AstroLink developed nanosatellites the size of a shoebox, capable of creating small satellite clusters to provide localized broadband coverage at a fraction of global costs.
In pilot launches with IIT Madras and two rural districts in Tamil Nadu, AstroLink demonstrated working internet access in villages with zero mobile connectivity. Schools conducted online classes, local clinics used telemedicine apps, and farmers accessed live weather and crop prices—things that were previously impossible. The project was hailed as a game-changer for Digital Bharat.
But now, AstroLink is in critical financial distress. Launch costs are high, components are imported, and without consistent investor support, the startup cannot continue manufacturing satellites. Their prototype cluster is grounded, engineers are leaving, and the mission of rural connectivity risks collapsing.
Despite the crisis, the potential impact is enormous. India is aggressively pushing space-tech privatization and rural digitalization. If funded, AstroLink could scale into a national-level rural internet backbone, directly impacting millions of lives. Without urgent support, however, the project will die before its satellites leave Earth.
