Founded in 2022 by two Vietnamese engineers and a sustainability researcher in Ho Chi Minh City, AquaHarvest Tech was created to tackle food insecurity and urban space limitations. Their system combines hydroponic vegetable farming with aquaculture, where fish waste nourishes plants, and plants filter water for the fish.

The startup has built a compact modular unit that fits into small apartments, rooftops, or community farms, capable of producing up to 25 kg of vegetables and 10 kg of fish per cycle. What makes AquaHarvest innovative is their AI-driven monitoring system that tracks water quality, nutrient balance, and plant health in real time, reducing manual effort.

They have sold 20 prototypes to urban families and small farms, receiving strong feedback for sustainability and cost-effectiveness. However, they are struggling with funding to scale manufacturing and reach a larger market.

They believe JustStartUP can provide the visibility they need to attract eco-conscious backers, scale production, and partner with NGOs promoting food security in Asia.
